Wishing you a wonderful time with friends and family! So grateful we are able to enjoy the freedom for which so many have fought and given the ultimate sacrifice. May God bless them!

This post is a day late, but I don’t want to let Father’s Day pass without mentioning the dads in our lives. This weekend we spent time with my grandpas, our dads, and our brothers. These men are not perfect and they would be the first to admit that fact. However, they are present. They play a role in their children’s lives. In this world, where so many men choose to leave off their responsibility as fathers we are truly blessed to have dads that have made the hard choice to stick it out and take up the responsibility of fatherhood. God bless them!
The greatest gift I ever had
Came from God; I call him Dad!

We had a wonderful 4th of July. The weekend started out roughly with Parker getting sick on Thursday. He had a high fever with a cough/cold. Saturday we had is birthday party with my family and Chase left that night with a high fever and feeling terribly. We stayed home from church the next day and the kids recovered. We were somewhat ready for the holiday on Monday. It was VERY hot, so we knew it might be kind of rough with kids who were not 100%. Thankfully, we had a good time. We went to the parade with family and enjoyed lunch with everyone. We headed out around 1:30 for naps. We were more than ready to get in some air conditioning.
We had planned to go watch fireworks at the levy in River Park, but the kids weren’t up for it. We went to the Costco parking lot near Cal Expo and got to see a few fireworks. It was late, our kids were tired, but we had a great time! We hope to make it to River Park next year!
