Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day! We love our dads. They have an awesome responsibility, and they do a great job fulfilling them (most of the time)!! :)

PS-As I was writing this, Chase just did his first somersault!! What a monkey!

19 Months

On Sunday, Chase will be 19 months. We can't believe it. He is very much a little boy now and not a baby. He has his babyish moments, but he is fast becoming a big boy. It is so fun to see him grow and develop. Here some of his new developments.

-He copies many of the words that we say. His vocabulary is getting large. My favorite new words "apple juice." We have only given him juice about 5 times in his life, and he asks for it everyday.

-He loves to eat salsa. He also likes to say that word.

-He loves to pray for "papa" and "ben-ben." He loves his grandpas (he has 4 altogether 2 of which are great-grandpas). He also loves his Uncle Benjamin.

-He cries when daddy leaves for work or an outing. He is so attached to his dad.

-He loves the song "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands."

-He doesn't like being left in the church nursery.

-He asks for "mama" and "milk" every morning when he wakes up.

-He tells me clothes are "cute" as we shop. :)

-He loves to hide in clothes racks when we are shopping.

-Balls are his all-time favorite toys. I don't need to buy any other toys. He loves to throw things. We are working on just throwing balls.

-He loves to hang on bars at the park. He can hang for about 3o seconds without letting go. He is super strong.

-He is a fabulous napper. He takes 2 naps a day still. He rarely ever complains. What a blessing.

-He weighs 26 pounds and is 33.5 inches.

-His burn is healed and doesn't wear the pressure sock anymore.

-He is the most amazing blessing we have ever been given!

Tagged x 2

I have been tagged twice. People must think I am quite quirky :)

Here are the rules:

Mention the rules on your blog.

Tell about six unspectacular quirks of yours.

Tag six bloggers by linking them.

1. I am a major people watcher. I would find it fun to just go the airport to watch people. Strange I know, but people are fascinating.

2. I shower at least once a day, and Chase gets at least 1 bath a day. Sometimes more. Hygiene is of utmost importance to me.

3. The thought of having any sort of hair on the bottom of my feet grosses me out. I have a phobia. I will not walk on my bathroom floor with wet or damp feet. I will always be on a rug of some sort.

4.Watching movies and TV is a sleep aid for me. When I can't go to sleep, I just turn a movie on or watch a TV show.

5. I can do a lot of "boy" push ups.

6.I love old movies and television shows.

The tough thing is that I don't really know of 6 other bloggers. I will give it a whirl.

Katie, Trisha Thomas, Melissa, Shiela, and Chrisy Myers. I don't know any other bloggers that haven't been tagged already.

Half-Marathon

Here are some pictures from this weekend. We had a blast running the American River Half-Marathon. We ran the race with Abe's dad. He is an avid runner and a great coach. I am so proud of my husband! He went out and finished the whole thing with a good time. He had hardly prepared for the race at all, but he finished. We are a little sore, but doing well :)

Faux Hawk

Chase was in the bathroom with Abe while he was getting ready for work. Chase wanted some gel like daddy, so Abe gave him some. This is what they came up with. Here is our little man with a faux hawk :)

Toddler Tuesday Tales-4/29/08

*Chase is now saying "suuuit." This means he wants to get his swim suit out and go swimming.

*He says pee-poo when he has gas or is going #1 and #2. :) He usually laughs after he has gas too. Kinda gross but also very funny at the same time.

*He loves to run as you can see here:

*He is still really into coloring.

*He can kick a ball.

*When you ask where his cup or a toy is, he says "know." That means he doesn't know where it is. He says it with the cutest voice inflection. I love it.

*When Chase is uncomfortable (ie bright sun in his eyes, or the wind blowing on him, or he is hot) he says "col" (cold). I opened the blinds the other day after his nap. It was very bright, so he squinted his eyes and said "col."

*He loves to throw things. Daddy is super thrilled with his throwing abilities. He is hoping for a baseball player :) He is playing catch with daddy here:

Please excuse the loud voices on the videos. We are a loud family :)
