So conflicted...

It is probably just the pregnancy hormones, but I have been struggling lately with the idea of our family changing in just a few days. We are so excited to meet our little girl, but I LOVE my little family of four. My two boys are such a blessing. I worry that my relationship with them will change especially due to having to split my time 3 ways now. I worry that all their needs won't get met. As you can tell, I struggle with worry. :(

Abe keeps reassuring me that everything will be fine and that once I meet Maggie I will hardly remember what life was like before she came. Intellectually, I know he is right. However, I am not thinking totally rationally at the moment. :) Thankfully, we have a God who is concerned for us and will hear our prayers. I have been praying for a smooth transition for our whole family. It is so nice to know that He love my kids so much more than I ever could, and that He is sufficient to provide our every need!

BREECH!

Found out yesterday that our little girl is breech! The little stinker turned around in the last 1.5 weeks. Last weekend I had lots of contractions. The following two days I had terrible back pain. I think that she decided to flip around during that time. What a stinker! We are going to attempt to turn her around (external version) Friday, March 18th. The will do the procedure in the operating room, so that they can give me an epidural and be ready for a c-section in case she shows signs of distress during the version. If they successfully turn her around, they will induce my labor. If they aren't able to turn her or she doesn't tolerate the version well, she will be born via c-section.

We are shocked! This is not what we planned, but God is bigger than our plans. He is good all the time, and it is wonderful that we can trust that He is in control. Looks like the baby will be born on March 18th :)

38 Weeks

I getting ready to leave the house for my 38 week appointment. At my last appointment I wasn't quite ready for the baby to come, but this time around it would be nice to hear some news that the baby might be coming sooner than later. My body is ready to be done with pregnancy. My boys want their active mommmy back. My husband wants to meet his little girl, and has the perfect break at work. This would be a great time for her to come. Hopefully, she will cooperate :)

We changed our mind on the car…

and we purchased this:

It came down to price, and we got the best deal on this car. Abe did a fantastic job negotiating the price. He had the  deal totally done before we even showed up at dealership. The kids and I dropped him off at the dealership, and he was home with the new car about 2 hours later. Not too shabby :) We are very grateful for a car that will fit our soon-to-be family of five!

I think she looks more like Parker’s profile picture. We will have to wait and see who she resembles. Can’t wait to meet her!!

Husband Funny

Abe and I were talking last night. He told me to be prepared that our baby may not be very cute when she is first born. He said most people get one newborn that just isn't that cute to start off. He said that our first two were cute, so we should be prepared for a not-so-cute newborn. LOL! He did add that WE will think that she is cute no matter what. Thanks, sweetheart!

The Nissan is Gone!

We are half way done with the daunting task of obtaining a car that will fit our soon-to-be family of five. Due to needing 3 carseats neither of our cars will fit our family. We knew we would need a larger car, and we have been going back and forth on what to purchase. We started getting a little more serious last week when I started having lots of contractions (not painful, but just too many). We narrowed down our choices, and we decided that we should sell Abe’s car to get that step done.

Abe listed the car at 1:30 AM Saturday morning. By the time I woke up on Saturday we had a ton of e-mails with people showing interest. We responded to the e-mails, and as the morning progressed the phone started to ring non-stop. Abe showed the car twice, talked to lots of people, and had a decent offer (90% of asking price) by 8:00 PM that evening. We completed the transaction today. The car is sold! As of now we are a ONE car family. We are slightly worn out after that crazy weekend.  Spending lots of time at a dealership and dealing with craigslist people really will take it out of you.

The good news is that we think we have chosen the car we want. We were going back and forth between a Honda Pilot and a Ford Explorer. While test driving an Explorer on Saturday, we jokingly said what about a Flex? Well, after test driving it we discovered that we REALLY liked it. It has some great features that are really nice for families. Abe is in the process of negotiating the best price, and we will hopefully be ready to purchase one soon!
